History of Hunter1909’s Death March

Between 1984-1990 the Edmonton Oilers were the last great dynasty of NHL hockey – but halfway through the Oilers were gutted by bad management/ownership and instead of winning 9-10 Stanley Cups they won 5.

Once all the great players left town a pair of dynasty journeymen named Kevin Lowe and Craig MacTavish hijacked the team and led them on such a 10 year era of absolute futility that the Death March was born.
